About the Author

Born in Germany, Jim Miller has traveled and lived throughout the world. With degrees in physics and geophysics, Mr. Miller has been employed as a seismologist, geophysicist, scientist, and engineer and, earlier in his life, as a sailor. He lives in Alaska with his wife and family.
