About the Book
The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 have changed the concept of health care across the continuum of care. From medical services, psychological services, pastoral care services, etc., the care given must change to address the holistic (physical, mental, and spiritual) needs of those served. In this Post 9/11 Era, a new paradigm must be established with new definitions and new understandings of integrative health and its subsequent health care. If health care is to be effective, it must be holistic and span the continuum of care. This means that it must meet the needs of persons from any community and span racial, cultural, religious, and economic lines.
