About the Author
John Thomas Howard, born in Canton, Ohio on February 18, 1963, was raised from a working class family and held several manual labor jobs as he worked during his grade school and high school years. Starting as a volunteer at age 15, he began a career in the health care industry and continued to work his way through college.
His childhood and family history were greatly influenced by a multitude of physical afflictions, mental illness, and traumatic suicide. Starting with his great grandmother who suffered from mental illness and engaged in a desperate act of suicide, she passed this legacy onto his grandmother, first uncle, and eventual father. Growing up in a household surrounded by illnesses inspired his 20 year career as a therapist and the art and writing for the Path of Life Diary.
