About the Author

Douglas D. Reynolds, Ph.D., is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University in 1967 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1969 and 1972, respectively. Dr. Reynolds has over 38 years of experience as an engineering educator. In addition to his current faculty position at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, He has held faculty positions at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and the University of Pittsburg. Dr. Reynolds has over 42 years of experience in Christian education. He has taught Christian education classes to age groups from junior high to adults. He has also been heavily involved in prayer and healing ministries. He has taught classes in the areas of basic Christian principles, gifts of the Holy Spirit, marriage, and prayer from an Evangelical perspective. Dr. Reynolds' experiences as an engineering educator and in Christian education have given him a unique ability to write about the practical aspects of our relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
