About the Book

The intention of this journal is to help you create your legacy -- a legacy to reflect on at a later date. A legacy is a precious gift to your family and future generations who will never get a chance to meet you.

The purpose of recording this part of your journey is to encourage you and provide opportunities for you to talk about and deal with the intense emotions that are part of living with uncertainty. This journal will introduce you to the idea of "Living Large."

Find the strength to face your circumstances by "Living Large." Learn how to become a "Liver of Life," and an "Illness Warrior." Experience how it feels to win back hope, and take charge of your life. Start to "Live Well, What's Left," and ride the "Anger Wave" with someone you love. "Bury your Worries" and use your energy to "Fight with all Your Might." Make "Life Wishes" and take every second of life that is yours. Nothing can take your life away. "This is Your Journey; Before, During and After Life."

About the Author

Fawn was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She belongs to a large blended family, which is spread all over the continent. Fawn is "living well what's left" with her abundant blessings. Some of these blessings are called Ray-Ray, Tasha-Two-Rivers, Ty Guy, and Oakie Doakie.

Favourite band/songs in teens and now:
Elton John (Yellow Brick Road, Candle in the Wind, High Flying Bird). Craziest place I ever fell asleep as a teen? In a tent in the mountains. This may not sound crazy, unless you wake up to snow and the first thing you notice is your best friend sleeping soundly with her head sticking out of the tent and part of her head covered with snow... that was the crazy part!

Best journey in teen years:
Driving up a very narrow mountain road, hiking through a large meadow into a remote location to fly fish. At first glance, the white rapids were breath-taking as a pink hue illuminated the water and huge rock cliff on the other side of the river. It was like walking into a scenic postcard.

What I would say to a homeless person:
"God loves you."

Something I've loved to do my whole life:
Write stories, poems, funnies, thoughts, inspirations, letters, philosophical statements and doodle flowers and eyes.

Fawn and Ray's home has always been a busy place with the sound of children. They have volunteered for various organizations, fostered children, facilitated an emergency care home, ran a daycare and hosted several international students. Fawn is thrilled to honour her cousin Cindy in her first book. Cindy was her only "baby" cousin. Growing up just three blocks from each other was the starting of... a book!
