About the Author

Derek Feldon lived in Lancashire, leaving school at the tender age of 13 with no qualifications. He attended night school three times a week after a full day's work, for the next nine years.

He served in Palestine as a member of the armed forces for a couple of years and gained wide experience in many branches of industry from shop floor to management level. At the age of 30 he moved to the Isle of Wight with his family to take up a teaching post.
