About the Author

Steen Marcussen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark into a family of scientists, researches and artists. After school he studied music (opera) as a baritone at The Royal Danish Music conservatory.

He later decided to pursue a commercial career and completed his studies at Copenhagen Commercial College, joined Ford Motor Company and left Denmark for overseas assignments at 24. Steen is a true world traveller with an inquisitive mind and a strong drive for exploration. In particular he is an old African hand who spent 12 years in various African countries and still follows Africa and its people with keen interest, as the cradle it is of all mankind.

Noticing the pressure of civilization on the tropical forest belt causing untold, permanent damage to the world's environment often by devastation of DDT and other chemicals, he became professionally concerned with finding green solutions to a number of environmental problems within public health. He thus developed and industrialized an entire series of ecological insect traps to assist in the supression of tropical diseases without chemical stress on the environment. Products used by the Red Cross, Oxfam etc.

During his career Steen became the Royal Danish Consul in the Channel Islands (UK) for over 10 years and is decorated with the Knights order of Denmark.

Today Steen lives inside a protected natural park in Southern France where he is busy writing three new books, one with a futuristic perspective of man's survival after an all out atomic war has ravaged our present civilisation, another about a newborn's life as an adult in 2050 and finally another book called Burn the Rule Book about survival in marginal situations through replacing rules with lots of common sense. The book is mixed with unique happenings of drama, sometimes intermingled with irresistable hilarity.
