About the Book
A short novel by literary standards Return To Me requires but a paragraph "about the book". For if I explain at length, you the reader, may be tempted to feel the story told.
Do not fall to that temptation. Read on to find the characters drawn together in a small Maine village.
Meet personally Father Joe, Monk at St. Joseph's Monastery and friend to Franklin… young Meredith, college girl and waitress suddenly caught up in a relationship she never imagined… Franklin Durnst, relocating from the mid-west to this place he came to know during his overnights on business, and which became his personal place, The Inn at White Cliff.
Franklin starts to experience and allow in the love of a woman again.
Fate can lovingly bring two together or again ferociously tear that bond apart.
The title, it turned out was the more difficult decision of this writing. For I could not "feel"a title completely satisfying to their story… their passion.
Hope you enjoy.
About the Author
Fran Silver is the writer of several unfinished "works in progress". They include ventures into mystery, serial killing and kidnapping. Another the personal struggles of a wheelchair bound teacher-coach and religious Sister tormenting over their developing relationship. Each of these read by his eyes only.
Although resolute to complete them, they sit hopefully only temporarily captive under "Fran's Documents" within the laptop atop his oak roll-top.
Writing from the heart takes longer he feels, emotions often times fleeting, temporarily replaced with interludes of silence until new meaning strikes prompting fingers moving across keys once again.
Occupied in management with a gas utility company for many years he writes for personal growth and satisfaction while laying dormant the image of a published writer at times envious of those he reads.
He writes from life's graces and emotional spontaneous thought often evolving from ideas/story lines pent up coming forth in the middle of the night. Here's hoping his dream fulfilled now… and again.
He is married to Katherine living in a small New England community close to historical Plymouth, Mass. and beautiful Cape Cod.
He says, "forgive him the errs of prose and grammar for the love of story."
