About the Book
Every Emotion uses reflections and poetry to focus on various emotions we may go through in our lives. Some good... some bad... and whatever comes between. More importantly, Every Emotion reassures us that it is normal to experience acceptance, anger, anticipation, disgust, fear, joy, sadness and submission. I believe understanding how to deal with them is the hard part. However, experiencing emotions is a major part of our lives and most of our lessons were learned through them.
If we wanted to be accepted, we went through fear and hate (for example) before we realized we only wanted to be accepted. Our minds reacted before we have a chance to think about it.
If you have ever heard the phrase "ring anxiety", then you can understand the jealousy and disgust some people feel for those who have what they want. You can see the anticipation in their eyes. If we can recognize these emotions in our selves or people we love, we have already taken a step toward self-improvement.
Some people don't want to submit to growing old. As we grow older, our bodies change... our thoughts change... we come to realize just how much life we have seen over the years. Everyone and everything start to look different... older... newer... times change. Although, no one really looks forward to gray hair and getting older, I have a great respect for the elders in my life. They gave me the wisdom, knowledge and trsut of their former experiences. They taught me who I am. I would consider it a blessed honor to submit to old age and all the knowledge it brings me so that I can help the children too.
Joy and sadness are every day emotions as well. There are tears of joy and the mournful cries of death. Every Emotion has several instances on joy and sadness. We have all felt these emotions as well. Learning to find and accept joy or moving on after a tragedy comes from deep within us... sometimes eluding us... with some other form of emotion.
