When Holly Underwood, a reporter and star-writer for a small island-town newspaper, encounters a high school student who wins big in the stock market only to discover he bankrupts a group in Ohio does she realize to danger that faced the two of them. She, along with the young man, is captured and held ransomed. Unwilling to see her kidnappers remain at large, Holly, helped by the mysterious old man, embarks on a frantic pursuit of the misfits who won't rest until leader and henchmen are being bars.
Her desire to see justice meted out notwithstanding, Holly's main objective is to grapple with and greed and power. One Across is rife with drive and depth. Above all, it provides its readers with a rich and rewarding experience.

About the Author
Bill R. Fulk is a family physician practicing on Sanibel Island, Florida. He holds a B.S. in Zoology from Southern Illinois University and subsequently earned his M.D. title from the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago. In addition to his medical practice, Fulk's interests run a wide gamut: He's an avid photographer of tropical flora and fauna; a certified commercial helicopter instructor pilot; and can also be found, at spare times, either at his wood carpenter's workshop or playing Broadway tunes at the piano. As a lifelong voracious reader, Fulk has lately chosen to try his hands at fiction writing.
