This dark tale is more true than not! The story is set in one of the UK's new cities — but it could be anywhere. Every character in the story is based on an actual person — but the names have been changed of course, to protect the guilty. The story revolves around the 'fictional' sales company Xanadu, a company that will give anyone a job. This results in a drug and sex addicted sale force — yes the ones that turn servicemen, hard men, ex convicts, creeps and dangerous psychopaths. About the Author

Bill Gardner was born in Enfield —where they make guns— between VE and VJ day. A trip to Australia as a 'ten pound Pom' followed shortly after that. He was back in England in time for the 'Swinging Sixties', and managed to survive — just. Being a semi-pro musician and trying lots of 'day jobs', served to forge, (or warp), his character.
