In this second volume of a two-volume set, the author describes the history of mankind through the last four centuries. This book describes the political, social and military events that drive the course of history. The work is divided into manageable time periods, and within each time period the significant historical events of the entire world are described. An additional chapter for each time period is devoted to the philosophers, scientists, authors, painters, and composers that add meaning to history.
About the Author
Mr. Bennett describes himself as an engineer turned author in his hard earned maturity. After graduating in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh many years ago, Mr. Bennett has traveled the world as an engineer, military officer and Peace Corps Volunteer. Now retired in Colorado, the author has devoted much of the past ten years to researching and writing his two-volume history of mankind. In addition to his writing, the author and his wife of more than fifty years enjoy hiking, camping, playing duplicate bridge and a variety of other recreations.
