This is the first in a series of youth soccer stories. It introduces two ten year old boys to the sport of soccer and chronicles their initial foray into the competitive world of soccer. About the Author

Brad Smith currently serves as the Athletic Director and Head Men's Soccer Coach at Si Tanka University in Huron, South Dakota. His career coaching record stands at 262-192-33 after 27 years as a college coach.

A 1975 graduate of East Carolina University, Smith also earned a MAed in Counselor education from ECU (1975) and a MS in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee (1883).

Previous Head Coaching stops include: Westmar University (1991-1997), Tarkio College (1987-1990), Tennessee Wesleyan College (1984-1986) and East Carolina University (1977-1981).
