About the Author

Yes you do, was the answer. The Publishing Company told me that I had to write about myself because I am the Author. How can a person write about themselves, I thought. So I asked my husband Charles what he would write about me. Laughing, he answered: what I think can not be printed. I knew it would be a huge blunder to ask my daughter Jaime what she would write about me because her words could cause the floor up under me to explode. Boy, this puts me in somewhat of a quandary. O.K. then, the old saying is: Just the Facts Mam. In the fifties I was born, raised and still live in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Next Stop: Why did I write this story? Well, one night I was watching the movie Braveheart, staring Mel Gibson, when I saw one particular scene that brought memories flooding back. Because I remembered, I knew it would make a great Halloween Story that would grab and keep the readers attention. But there is another reason for writing this story and that is because we need the money and the creditors want it.

Now, about me: The truth is the only way anyone can get an idea about who I am is to read my stories. You will find out that I have experienced a very strange and weird life. So be brave and come with me on the NIGHTMARE PATH to the past of Jody Sumpter. Remember, whatever you do, hope that you will never catch the same ride.
