About the Book
Poems about God, and the beauty He has given us on this earth. The beauty one can see whether its spring and the flowers bloom, summer when children are frolicking about, fall when the leaves turn such gorgeous colors, winter when the snow has fallen or is blowing helter skelter. All one has to do is look out the window and see the beauty all around.
About the Author
I am 83 years young and I have been writing poetry since I was a 12 year old child. I enjoy doing it as it keeps my mind functioning. I am married and reared 9 boys. Seven sons, and two step sons. I graduated from high school in 1941 at Marathon, Iowa. I enjoy sewing, especially quilts, clothing, as well as painting with oil, landscapes. I have done a lot of work such as a nurses aide in a care center and I worked in a home for the mentally retarded. I still mow my own lawn and raise flowers. I at one time had a very large garden when our family was growing up and I canned many quarts of food. I still do my own house work, and cooking. I hope people will enjoy my poetry as that is why I write it besides liking to write it. I know the people who have read my poetry have stated that I need to publish it, so I do hope that many more people will enjoy them and will see the things that God gave us, all around us.
