About the Book
I wrote this story from 2000 to 2002 after we toured Mayan ruins during a vacation in Mexico. It was difficult to do since I am not a "computer-friendly" person, and holding down a full-time job while also helping my wife to raise a family made it a real "labour of love" to get the book done and into a form that I was finally happy with.
My family and some friends read it, liked it, and encouraged me to get it published. On a whim, I sent a home computer-printed copy to Farley Mowat who was kind and gracious enough to read it and reply by letter to say that "It's a good story, but my publisher doesn't do science fiction."
After a few futile attempts at conventionally publishing Lucifer's Moment, I read about Trafford self-publishing and decided to go the present route.
About the Author
I am a cultural product of the 1960's, and believe that Neil Young is right: "Rock and Roll can never die."
Currently employed as a process engineer in Sarnia's "Chemical Valley", I hope that our children have a good green world in their future. I like Porsches and golf and enjoy pop culture.
