About the Book

Intuition: The Art of Freeing the Mind introduces a creative approach for organizing intangible thought to form a tangible thought process. The theory suggests that intangible thought can become tangible when visual art concepts are applied. The poems that are included were written over the past sixteen years, and are personal inspirations of the author. The messages that his poetry delivers will surely inspire you!

Reader interpretations, however, will allow for unique connections through personal experiences. Thus, the reader will find motivation to personalize the readings to meet their own personal needs just as an artist would while creating a work of art. Creating a work of art can only be accomplished through a process of progressive development. Progressive development suggests the building from or on something that is already developed.

An artist chooses a medium as a vehicle to carry the created message. Likewise, consider oneself the medium. The foundation upon which tangible thought can be developed should be based on personal experiences. During the development process, the true message will be open to many interpretations, however it would not be conclusive until each stage in the development has been completed and an assessment of progress has been determined. Moreover, the goal of sending a message is satisfied in personal growth. At the outset, the medium allows the artist to mold ideas into visual form to develop a specific message. A specific message will allow the processes to continue until an ultimate goal has been reached. Each specific message will act as a connector that links the processes together while making personal growth assessments.

Such an artistic approach, when applied to practical living, will improve one's ability to mold personal growth through the development of higher order thinking skills and controlled cognitive application. The result would greatly improve the quality of life. Although we recognize this benefit, many may find it challenging to consciously consider this artistic approach. The artistic approach will require a constant self-assessment until this manner of thinking becomes more a part of daily living- just as an artist would when creating a work of art. As a result, each stage in the developmental process becomes more creatively thought out and definitely more tangible.

Approaching life as "an art" will allow readers to look at their experiences and personal development in a new, creatively positive, and intuitive way.
