About the Book

Aquatastic: Swimming Made Simple is for all individuals interested in the teaching of swimming. This book is easy to read, follow and understand for individuals of all abilities and backgrounds. This book will help everyone who is learning how to teach individuals to swim in a friendly and fun environment.

The goal of my book is to help people teach themselves and others to swim in a fun and positive environment. Learning to swim will be fun while increasing one's comfort level in the water. The goal here is to learn while you are having fun and you will not realize that you are swimming as it comes to you naturally. Safety will be stressed in all areas of the aquatic environment. The drowning rates in the United States are rising at an unbearable rate and something needs to be done. By teaching people Aquatastic, I will attempt to lower the drowning rates as people learn how to be safe in and around the aquatic environment.

About the Author

Ronda began her professional Aquatic career at the Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield, Michigan as their first Aquatic Director. She then moved on to Franklin Fitness and Racquet Club in Southfield, Michigan as their first Aquatic Director. While at both facilities she introduced the Hydro-Tone System for Aquatic Exercise. While at those facilities she managed all aspects of the aquatic avenues. This included seeking lifeguard, swimming instructors and aquatic personal trainers. Ronda has spent much time rehabilitating people in the aquatic environment as it is easier and more efficient than land for most people. She has rehabilitated numerous professional athletes after surgeries getting them back to their sport in better condition. Ronda has supervised and trained a great number of lifeguards in her time. At her peek times in the pools she had about 50 lifeguards and swimming instructors under her guidance. Ronda has managed three pools in one facility during the summer seasons. Her experience as a swimming instructor has had her teach over 1000 students. Seeking a more educational based atmosphere, she completed her teaching certification after she had already attained her Masters of Science degree in Physical Education. She is presently a member of the Aquatic Exercise Association where she previously served as an Advisory Board Member. She has presented locally and internationally on Aquatic Emergency Procedures. Ronda is also a frequent contributor to the AKWA letter, an international trade publication.
