A true story of a man's life-struggle against the effects and results of childhood sexual abuse.

Following a traumatic and lost childhood, the author tells how every decision he made, all the career choices he took and ultimately how every relationship save one, failed; because of the abuse he suffered from the age of six years.

Despite this he persevered, serving in Britain's elite Parachute Regiment, becoming a Police Officer working on covert drugs units and armed anti terrorist teams, and finally working as an Armed Close Protection officer in the Balkans and Iraq before settling down with his wife in Serbia.

A brutally honest book, it throws light onto a largely whispered part of modern society - family sexual abuse; in an effort to help those who don't know, understand how it can destroy a life or strengthen it.

Containing frank admissions and revealing intimate thoughts, it also shows the funnier side of what we consider to be 'serious' professions. From burning his backside whilst fire dancing in 'The Para's', to, as an armed police officer, almost shooting a cleaner!

It shows how, despite the darkest of beginnings, the human spirit can survive, adapt and ultimately overcome a lifetime of obstacles

About the Author

The author, is a 41-year-old father of four, now living in the Balkans after having been born and raised in the United Kingdom where he lived up until 2003.

After a traumatic childhood, where he suffered serious sexual abuse from a family member, he entered the British Parachute Regiment in the 1980's.

Thereafter his life followed an interesting path; going into the British Police where he served on covert drugs units and armed anti terrorist and response units before leaving after assaulting a car thief. He then entered the world of International Armed Close Protection (Body guarding), working in the Balkans and Iraq, finally settling down with his 3rd wife Vesna in Serbia.

This book tells his story, how the abuse he suffered affected his life, and implemented decisions that shaped its course.
