About the Book

Imagine your own private backyard over 4000 square miles in size. A pristine tropical river system flowing through it, teeming with prized sports fish and deadly crocodiles.

A very basic road system largely consisting of a major gravel track sometimes maintained by the local authority. All other private roads have to be made and maintained by you.

Your water supply is based around creeks and rivers that run wild during the wet tropical summers and slow down to crystal clear pools, some of them miles long, during the dry winter months.

Your immense backyard starts at sea level by a crocodile infested tropical tributary with tides that vary by 40-50 feet, and climbs to almost two thousand feet above sea level where the winter nights will leave frost on your swag.

When you travel off the beaten track you have a very real chance of being the first to find sacred indigenous art sites forgotten even by the descendants of those who last visited them. You may even stub your toe on a diamond in a region that provides more than one third of the world's supply.

This is a collection of just a few of the adventures a young Cameron Sinnamon experienced while living and working in the Kimberley. A Big Kid's Playground, Down Under.

About the Author

Cameron Sinnamon spent much of his early working life in Australia's isolated Kimberley region. He helped pioneer it's budding tourism industry, enabling people from all over the world to share in the area's unique beauty.

While living on his family's cattle stations, he experienced a challenging yet exciting lifestyle. Sometimes lonely but never boring, this isolation came with a peaceful solitude as Cameron found himself at times alone, the closest neighbour hundreds of kilometres away.

Cameron began writing seriously in 2003 and this is his first publication. He has also written several, well received, but yet to be produced screenplays and has numerous other writing projects underway.

His motivation for his writing comes from a deep desire to purge the world of ignorance while having as much fun as possible.
