About the Author

Vikas is an engineer by profession, born and brought up in India and currently based in California. He developed an interest in poetry during his undergraduate years. Interestingly, he used to skip language/poetry classes in school, finding them "boring". He used to believe that science is the only subject worth studying, and was once found reading a Biology book minutes before his high-school English exam. Vikas has written on a variety of subjects. He believes that melancholy is a very strong emotion, and one can achieve great things by harnessing its power. Happiness, he thinks is a fleeting affair; wherein one becomes complacent and is not as creative.
