About the Author
Since about the age of 11, Rachel C. Sorenson has always believed she was born to be an author. When she began dreaming up stories with dynamic, compound characters who exhibited complex emotions, and found she thoroughly loved telling and writing their stories, she knew it was part of the call on her life. When she realized she had a knack for utilizing what she had learned in English classes, she could see the talent and gift blossoming. That call is now, and will continue to be, utterly fulfilled, as she realizes there is something more to be offered to the readers than mere entertainment.
Many of the characters depicted in Rachel's works have a basis in reality. There are elements derived from real beings within, and thus composing, most every character. Rarely, and to a few, will she disclose identities, but will admit which are closest to her heart, and which have been a personal Dungeon Crew.
An artist at heart, Rachel enjoyed adding a visual aspect to her first novel, "The Dungeon Crew." Alongside her own artwork, she employed the talents of three gifted artists, Craig Anderson, Andrew Orr and her husband, Christopher. Rachel describes herself as feeling "greatly honoured" at having the work of the three displayed in the book.
