Now 78 years old and still a dynamic teacher and private consultant in Astrology, Numerology, Graphology, Colour Therapy and Crystal Healing, Shirley charts her course in SIGNPOSTS to Destiny from depressed housewife and mother in her 30’s, to vibrant Spiritual Venturer and astral (and earth) traveller in her 40’s; later founder of The School of Life Path Studies and The Academy of Colour. She is author of Today, Tomorrow and Eternity (a Channelled Inspirational book), Handwriting for Healers and Beyond the Crown - a healing and counselling tool in the form of a board game.

About the Author

SHIRLEY DARBY has always followed her own path. She is the founder and principal of The School of Life Path Studies now based on the Central Coast of New South Wales. She teaches and has authored books on Astrology, Numerology, Colour Therapy and Graphology for spiritual development. The major purpose of all her work is to inspire and empower others to discover and follow their own path. She has four children, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grand-children of her own, as well as countless student-graduates who regard her as their spiritual Mum.

Shirley was born in 1929 in Sydney. Her early interest and talent in art led to work in fabrics and furnishings. She married at the age of 22 and was for 24 years a busy wife and mother, Cub Scout Leader and Art Society organiser. But this never felt like her “real” life. In 1975, (on the 11th day of the 11th month) she left her marriage after a clear “Signpost” - a profound spiritual experience which pointed to her life’s true, new direction. At a Spiritualist Church, she received a successful healing for an “incurable” skin condition. She then joined the Church and learned channelling and psychic development.

At the age of 40, she began studying Graphology and Astrology with a Rosicrucian spiritual teacher. Work at an Interior Decorating School led to studies in Colour Psychology. In her 50’s, Chakra Balancing and Crystal Healing studies culminated in Colour Therapy, which is now Shirley’s main interest. She still teaches all of these subjects.
