About the Book

An autobiography of my life growing up in the Northwest Territories. See Cambridge Bay through my eyes, as I grew up during the early 1940s. Follow me as I moved to the U.S. in the late 1960s and learned to adapt to this new lifestyle.

About the Author

I was born Isabel Okalitana in October of 1943 and raised in Cambridge Bay, Northwest Territories, Canada. I moved to the United States in June of 1966 where I began to raise my family. I've lived in New York since 1973. I have three wonderful children and two grandchildren and have met many extraordinary friends along the way.
