What a great accomplishment it is to write one’s own first book. Over the last ten years (1997-2007) I have had the idea for this project thanks to the help of many people. My knowledge of Divine Mercy started in February 1993, as a Parochial Vicar in St. Cecelia’s Parish in Iselin, NJ.
Who ever would have thought that, while looking at a picture that was hanging over the office copier, it would be the inspiration for the beginnings of Divine Mercy in my life? I asked myself, “What is this devotion all about?” Thanks to my friends, Carl and Joanne Minue, and a holy man of the parish, Mr. Bill Kwiatkowski, I learned what Divine Mercy was and wanted to absorb all that I could get from it.
We know that there are many devotions that we have in our “prayer packages.” I usually refer to them as “Dagwood Sandwiches” of Prayer. I had to find out all I could about this devotion and check out if there were any “Spiritual Bugs.”
What began as Divine Mercy Sundays led to The Divine Mercy Healing Ministry and where we are today. Many of the members of my ministry team need to be thanked for the time and sacrifice they gave to make the Divine Mercy Healing Ministry what it is today.

Divine Mercy and Healing: A Charismatic View, is a book that shows the connection between the traditional Divine Mercy Devotion, the Ministry of Healing, and the Charismatic Renewal. Fr. Tom Ganley, Director of the Divine Mercy Healing Ministry has written his first book, that shows us how Mercy, Healing, and the Charismatic Renewal, can all work together in expressing God’s Mercy as given to us by Jesus and St. Faustina in the Divine Mercy Devotion. It is hoped that this book will be a tool to bridge the gap for those already familiar with Divine Mercy, and bring into a new level, the devotion that has come to us, and is known world wide. For those in the Charismatic Renewal, it shows a full expression of how one can be a devotee of Divine Mercy and use the charisms of the Holy Spirit shown in the Charismatic Manner, to fully praise God in His Divine Mercy; with one’s whole Mind, Heart, Being, and Soul.
About the Author
Fr. Tom Ganley is a priest of the Diocese of Metuchen in New Jersey USA. He has been ordained since 1985 and has just completed his 25th anniversary as a Priest. He is charismatic, and is the Director of the Divine Mercy Healing Ministry these last twelve and a half years. He attended Mt. St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg,MD, and has just completed his Master of Arts in Judeo-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University in South Orange,NJ. Fr's forte is the Divine Mercy Healing Ministry, and he has been a speaker at several parishes and conferences. He is adept at Life In the Spirit Seminars, Catholic Apologetics, Scripture, and Church History.
