As a woman, I need to be able to say to my husband, "I love you." I also need to hear these words from him. By doing so he ministers to my need. Jawun, like most men, does not express most of his feelings through words. Saying I love you isn't as important as being able to demonstrate his love through actions. You can see how the enemy will try to make this a problem in marriage. If you are always giving out of your need and never ministering to your spouse's needs, it could become a door that the enemy enters. Earlier in our relationship, it bothered me that Jawun didn't say the words "I love you." It wasn't until later I learned that men express themselves (mostly) through actions. Once my eyes opened to the fact that our needs are different, I didn't allow this to be an issue for me. I began to compromise. I minister to my husbands needs by allowing him to say he loves me through his actions. That's why it's important to pick and choose your battles. Yes, there definitely needs to be a compromise but until your spouse is able to minister to that need, you must grace him. Do your part. Love in spite of and show mercy. I know Jawun loves me. It's shown in everything he does so I can't afford to allow this small detail of our lives to get me off course. I use this as an example because I know this is an area where many women struggle.

Additionally, He exposes and reveals the doors that the enemy enters through by using the author's vulnerability and weaknesses. Areas where the enemy once had a stronghold, causing her marriage to suffer and nearly end in divorce, are revealed in great detail. Now readers can use this valuable information to locate themselves so that God can lead them to a place of dominating their domain of marriage.
Order in the House deals with communication. Why and how men and women communicate differently. It explains the importance of meeting the needs of your spouse and not focusing on your own needs. At the same time, how to get your needs met (by God). It teaches how to take on a new mind-set and fight God's way, not the world's way, which sets your marriage on a course of divorce. It dispels the lies of the enemy, using the word of God, that would cause individuals to believe that same sex marriages are o.k.. Most importantly, it reveals how one individual can change the dynamics of his or her marriage. Turning it from complete defeat to sure victory, as they connect with God, and fully commit to doing things His way. At the end of each chapter, are probing questions and space for journaling / talking to God. There are also, daily reminders to help keep you on course, as you nurse your marriage back to triumph.
