The three groups unknown to each other select and travel to the city of San Diego. They meet and become friends.

Mary tries to come between Jennifer and Leonardo. He is in love with Jennifer.
This is the last week of school and before Jennifer and Kal leave for college, the three go to explore the old haunted mission. They're looking for the missing Spanish gold coins that many people searched for over the years. Some of the treasure hunters were never heard from again and the coins were never found.
When Leonardo, Jennifer and Kal go treasure hunting they found the hidden escape tunnels under the mission. To their surprise they found Pirate skeletons and the gold coins. They too, almost lost their lives in the escape tunnels.
Finding the coins have to be kept a secret...they all swore never to tell anyone that they found the coins!
Will Kal become a famous Lawyer? Is Jennifer's love for Leonardo strong or will it fade while she in college?
About the Author
Richard Palkovic (Mr. P) was born in 1934 and raised in the Town of Newburgh, New York. He was married for forty two years to Rita, a home town girl-now a widower.
He is a Graduate from Newburgh Free Academy and attended Orange County Community College part time. He also attended classes at Marist college and Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
He worked thirty nine years for The International Business Machines Corporation and retired as a Senior Business Controls Analyst.
He is a graduate from the Institute of Children's Literature and loves to write fiction mysteries and children's picture books.
