About the Book
This book is an attempt of portraying life in South-Asian region historically known as Bengal, partitioned in 1947 with the end of the colonial rule in the sub-continent by partitioning it. More people in the region live in very backward rural areas depending mainly upon agriculture, than in udrban areas. In the latter areas some people live in slums in an unbelievable codition, some people go to live in various other countries as immigrants or what is called refugees as some people go to different countries on employment as well. People struggle for riches but more people struggle for mere existence that looks an unbelievable struggle. Why and how the women suffers that still remains a big question, and for how long possibly none can imagine. All the people, wherever they are, live with expectations like the people of any other part of the world, but there always everywhere remain gap between such expectation and actual achievements and success. However, efforts for achievements in every individual's life is so eventful; events brings sucess, happiness, pleasure and rejoice as also brings failure, grief, sorrow, pain, sufferings and even disasters. The life passes thus in an apparently considered freedom, individual enjoys what is called liberty.
But actually an individual passes life within the limit of an invisible boudary that can only be felt at times, for events occurs for reasons caused by an individual's inner impulse, other people and the nature, and sometimes people become helpless for those factors. Can anyone really ever go beyond the limits created by those factors? Besides, other so many things depicted in it, which may appear so similar to other people living in different parts of the world. So many other aspects to know about the region and people live there.
About the Author
The author was born in former East Bengal of Bengali parents. He passed the carrier of an Executive in various capacities in the natural gas sector of his own country untill he took an early voluntary retirement. He is living in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He wrote few stories in Bengali on demand of the situation and those were published. This is his first ever attempt to write a novel.
