About the Book
Annette Stremecki, a wife, mother, and career person, depicts the true story of a woman’s devastating turn of events when struck by illness that slowly consumes her life. Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia is often misdiagnosed and not understood by the medical community.
This story shares intimate and terrifying moments. Moments that turn into weeks, months and years of struggle for a family who grasps at anything to keep some sense of normality in their lives.
The experiences are shared through a diary of human emotion relating the story of a woman, not unlike any other woman who deals with ridicule, sexism, physical and psychological trauma in her search for help. Her determination to find that help is constant and her sense of humor uplifts her spirits. Simply put, it is a story about overcoming adversity.
The reader will see the woman as a survivor in the belief that most women have been granted the power of survival. The reader is given the opportunity to take a journey with her through this challenging part of her life, and experience the joy when help finally comes her way.
About the Author
Annette Stremecki lives in Turner Valley, a quiet little town in the foothills of southern Alberta. Sharing the household is her husband Ken and spoiled Sheltie, Rico. She is blessed with three wonderful children and their families including six grandchildren and is looking forward to a seventh soon. Also loved, are granddog, Dexter, and two horses named Flannigan and Bailey.
This is her first book, which has been a long healing process. Annette is now at work writing her third children’s novel of a series named, “Pattie Pear,” based on her experiences as a child. These will, hopefully, soon be published for the enjoyment of children from ages six and on as Pattie grows up.
Writing has been a rewarding experience and hopefully will continue to be a part of her life. She thanks the reader for purchasing her book and wishes them good health. That they be blessed with happiness in their lives and find the strength and faith to weather the storms and bumps along their journey.
“With love, faith and help, we have been granted the capability to heal from severe physical and psychological trauma.”
