About the Author

Shannon and her husband Mike live in Alberta and are the parents of four grown children. She & Mike are the owners of McBride & Groom Ltd. a bridal consulting and decorating company that has developed into a "one stop stress free bridal shop".

Through Shannon's career as a bridal consultant she found that with the fast paced lives that we now have and with the complexity of the family structure, that more and more young people had to deal with a great deal more stress and family problems in planning their wedding than the brides from the past.

Having the opportunity to deal with so many stressed brides she created an environment where brides could go to eliminate wedding planning stress, vent their frustrations, relax, obtain education and get help from someone to cover your stress points. In creating this element the bridal guide "Do You Solemnly Swear" was developed as a teaching tool for those "do it yourself brides". For those brides not wanting to take on the task of planning their own wedding or for those who simply don't have the luxury of the time involved in planning their own wedding, this bridal guide acts as an outline to what your consultant will cover and take care of for you.
