About the Book

Leadership is as important today, as it was in 5000 BC. This book is unique because it traced the evolution of leadership, its attributes, its various styles, as well as its meaning, from the beginning of time to the present. Leadership attributes of Atilla the Hun, a barbarian, were analyzed, and discussed in depth. The virtues of Moses and Jesus' leadership style were discussed and applied to the newest style of leadership, Servant Leadership. Research left no doubt that political, business, religious and personal leaders have the power to influence and change our lives. In our rapidly changing world, the need for leadership has remained constant and may be more crucial than ever. Visionary leaders have inspired many positive developments. There are also leaders who however gifted, have used their powers destructively, creating many horrors throughout the world.

Our cities are in crisis, our neighborhoods are in turmoil, and our political leaders, all too often, are ethically compromised. The nation is crying out for its leaders to address the many issues that confront us, but it cries in vain. This publication addressed our leadership crisis head on by providing readers with the tools of empowerment so that they can further develop their own leadership abilities. Perhaps by studying the topic of leadership from the beginning of time, future leaders will find themselves better equipped to meet the many challenges that face us.

About the Author

Dr. Ciuffo recalls that his goal in life has always been to have his own business and was obsessed with the wonderful world of business. When he was in high school, he decided that someday he would be a successful businessperson and was willing to make any sacrifice in order to accomplish his goal. In addition, Anthony also felt compelled to continue his formal education and complete as much as possible. A combination of practical experience, combined with formal learning seemed to be a sure formula for success.

Anthony received his undergraduate degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing, his Masters degree in Economics and Finance, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree, in the Arts and Sciences and a Specialization in Business, with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. Dr. Anthony F. Ciuffo has been actively involved in and operated twelve businesses successfully, eleven of which was startup ventures. One is now a third generation family business and another a second-generation family business.

Dr. Ciuffo taught business courses for a local college and entrepreneurship for an adult education program in Valley Stream N Y. He serves as an advisor for the Business Administration Department of a local college. In addition, Anthony served as a Special Assistant to the Mayor of New Hyde Park for Business Development. He encourages anyone with the "fire in the belly," to follow their dreams, and learn what the wonderful world of business is all about.
