About the Author

Since thirteen, I‰*ªve know that I was born to be a writer. Every time I‰*ªd see a book, my face would instantly light up and I‰*ªd rush to read what it was all about. I‰*ªd snatch it off the shelf, rip it open, press my nose to the pages and breathe. (Yes I love the scent of a fresh new book). Why I loved books so much, I didn‰*ªt know. What I did know was that I‰*ªd give anything to be able to write like some of the authors I began to admire. I started out the Nostalgic at roughly the age of fourteen. I didn‰*ªt know who all my characters were yet and I didn‰*ªt fully understand as to how to write a full story, but I just kept envisioning these girls and hearing their voices in my ears. What they were saying and doing, I just couldn‰*ªt ignore. Over the years I slowly allowed each girl to speak to tell me her story. Immediately I was entranced and understood that no matter how harsh, uncomfortable, or cruel, I would write down every single detail the girls had given to me. The Nostalgic was born. Rena, Janice, Faith, and Dana all hold a special place in my heart. I‰*ªve fallen in love with them over the years and feel like it is my duty to give everyone else a chance to fall in love with them too. It would be wrong of me to keep them all to myself.
