About the Book

Are you one of the hundreds of thousands of nice guys out there who desperately wants to become a part of the dating scene but just can't seem to figure it all out? Do you occasionally find yourself dawdling through self-pity and regret just because you feel you are without your other half?

Well, you are not alone and there are thousands of other good guys out there just like you who would want nothing more than to enter into a relationship with the woman of their choice. For years, the good guy has painstakingly watched as the stereotypical football players, lettermen, jocks and cads alike, beat them to the punch when it comes to succeeding with women and appealing to the opposite sex.

This is unfortunate for the good guy, who is kind by nature and simply wants to enter into a relationship with long term potential, in sharp contrast to the one-night-stand philosophy of his cad-like contemporaries. Instead of filling the minds of its readers with fantasy and fallacy, Hope for the Good Guy: Trials and Tribulations of Dating teaches its young male readers that it's okay to be single and that there is much more to life than an unhealthy yearning for a relationship with the opposite sex with unpredictable consistency. Moreover, Hope for the Good Guy: Trials and Tribulations of Dating fosters a sense of hope and inspiration through spirituality by letting its readers know that their dream girl is out there somewhere, with patience being the key to finding her, and their virtuous personality as the grace that will sweep her off her feet.

Hope for the Good Guy: Trials and Tribulations of Dating is a must read for all good guys, shy guys, nice guys, the introverted and extroverted alike, as well as those young men who have never believed they will ever find their Ms. Right. Hope for the Good Guy: Trials and Tribulations of Dating is unique all of its own, as its content is drawn directly from the growing experiences of the author, offering a glimpse into the life of a young man who has and still is learning to play one of life's most challenging games, the game of love. Complete with the 30-day booster, the author helps his audience to believe in themselves by realizing their individual potential and just how great they really are, with or without a female companion by their side.

About the Author

Blake M. Scates was born in Pikeville, KY and has lived in Florida since March of 2000. His southern heritage has molded him into a suave and debonair young man who is passionate about everything he does in life, especially lending a helping hand to others and offering helpful advice to his readers.

This is Scates' first book at twenty, and he plans on writing many more books, including those in the genres of self-help, poetry, and fiction. Scates currently attends Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL USA and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication, with a minor in English. He maintains a high grade point average and has future plans of applying for a Master's degree program in Organizational Leadership.

Still learning to play the game of love himself, Scates realizes that there is much more to life than a serious relationship. He believes in the philosophy of "leaving no stone unturned," meaning that life is full of the unexpected, some good and some bad, but that we all can learn from each path we decide to take. Although single for now, Scates has many plans for his future, including an internship in Washington, D.C. and an aspiring career in government relations and/or corporate communications. With numerous accomplishments to his name, Scates looks forward to a career in freelance writing, living a dream that is now his reality.
