About the Author

CYNTHIA ELIZABETH (COLLINS) SULLY - born and educated in Cape Town, South Africa - grew up with her only sister - Myrle - within the shadow of the Cape Peninsula's magnificently brooding and awe inspiring Table Mountain and its attendant peaks of Devil's Peak and Lion's Head, with Signal Hill at the forefront. These mountains merge into the beautiful Twelve Apostle Peaks. The author's family heritage reaches back generations to - Ireland's : County Cork; England's : Barrow-in-Furnace and Lancashire; and France's : Alsace-Lorraine.

The author has resided in Australia twice and has visited South America (Brazil, Argentine, and Uruguay, twice), with short visits to Great Britain and France. She has also returned to South Africa ten times for visits with her family.

An interior design consultant, her many diversified interests include gourmet cooking - specializing in South Africa's cape-dutch-malay cuisine and she hosts many South African Gourmet Safari Nights, with many of her traditional recipes found in her first published book: "Snowflakes to Sea Urchins - 'twas the night after christmas&hellip" This book is a part biography, well received by the public at large.

Mother of two grown children - son and daughter - and grandmother to four grandchildren whom she spends many enjoyable hours with, the beaches and sea of Vancouver, Canada, are her 'companions' in all weathers, for she is truly, a child of the oceans… Her heart resides in two places for her beloved Africa beckons to her constantly…
