About the Author
Carol Cook was born in Southern Ohio, moved to California at the age of eighteen, and kept going – going to places she read about as a child. She traveled and lived in thirty-nine states and seven countries that included Great Britain, France, Italy, Greece, Canada, Germany, and Mexico. Traveling afforded her the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and opened a world of wonder to write about. She met happy and sad, exciting and mysterious, amazing and adventurous people, as well as places and things that were the same. All touched and shaped her life and her writing. In between traveling, writing and publishing, Carol raised three daughters, attended a variety of colleges and schools, and painted pictures in acrylic and oil. She has authored three books of poetry, a number of articles, and short stories. She continues to paint and pass her time with family, friends, and basking at her home beside a Texas lake. She is married to award winning artist, Robert W. Cook.
