About the Book

"Twinkling Lights, Diwali Nights" a dual language (English/Punjabi) picture book is about Diwali, one of the most important festivals in India. It's also known as the “Festival of Lights”

This picture book teaches children about the spirit of giving during holidays. It also helps children to learn about different cultures’ festivals. The aim of this valuable book is to promote cultural awareness among young children and to develop a better understanding of diversity.

About the Author

Rupi Sandhu lives with her family in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Extensive traveling and teaching in different parts of the world has given her the opportunity to learn about different cultures and children's issues. Working in a multicultural environment has inspired her to write the dual-language books which promote cultural awareness and encourage children to develop a better understanding of diversity.
