About the Book

Thinking about or training for ministry, or wanting to know what ministers (pastors) do? 35 clergy now having time to reflect on what did right, wrong, or would do differently, give you here what they have discovered.

If you have an interest in Worship, Pastoral Care, Christian Education, Outreach, Property and finance and Clergy Self Care, then this ready reference can help you glean new ideas, solve problems, and gain new tools for ministry.

"Solid theology is a necessity for clergy, and dedicated texts on various aspects of ministry abound. But it seems there has been a lack of simpler collections of practical observation and advise on the day-to-day encounters and decisions of ministry, Tools for Clergy: Ideas from Us to You, covers of topics with short encouragements. Sometimes the writers disagree, though this just gives the readers more ideas for their own consideration. A useful eclectic mix."
A Seminary Grad

"A wonderful resource for this interested in parish ministry. A book sharing practical wisdom from a broad range of pastors involved in parish ministries much needed. I've learned the craft of ministry (and I'm learning) through personal experience over the last 13 years, and from admired and respected colleagues. I would have welcomed a book such as this back when I started."
A pastor

"I can see how useful this reference would be to anyone at most stages of a ministerial career."

It is a valuable and much needed tool for clergy and congregations in transition."
