About the Book

This story tells of a young cat named Koubla who was found underneath a house and her eventual dramatic rescue from the attic of a New Orleans house flooded after Hurricane Katrina. We follow Koubla on her travels and adventures through New Orleans and Mexico as she learns about life, experiencing tragedy, romance, motherhood, abandonment, and the kindness of strangers. But most of all it tells of the incredible bond between Koubla and her favorite human friend. There are life lessons for everyone in this story.

About the Author

I have lived in Seattle for over 30 years, I have two grown children, a son and a daughter. I have two part-time jobs, driving a city bus and working in an elementary school office. I have traveled to Africa a few times and I have also traveled in Europe, Canada, the United States and Mexico. I enjoy music and nature as well as writing and art (water colors, fiber arts, etc.) I am embarking on a new adventure, raising alpacas.
