About the Book
Haruka is an over-protected teenager growing up in a small, remote village of Northern Japan. She suddenly loses her parents to a horrible accident. Being left alone in this old village, she becomes even more isolated from the world. One Bon Night, she observes a badly injured, foreign man in the woods behind her enchanting home. While she cares for this stranger, she starts to feel something very special towards him. As she discovers his identity, she becomes more involved with his past. In the midst of finding out more about this man, she also finds a surprising truth about her own life. Bon Night will give you a taste of Japan’s most spiritually celebrated national fete. A time that you will want to be a part of when visiting Japan.
About the Author
Michele Fushiki left Tokyo, where she grew up, for the United States at the age of 18 where she graduated with a Human Development Major. Her settled life today is home in Southern California with her husband and two children. Ever since she was a child, inspired by authors east and west, writing has been her passion. In 2000 “Reminiscing” was published. A beautiful platonic love story written in Japanese. Every encounter in a human relationship teaches and blesses one’s life. With that belief she writes her stories.
