About the Book

Broken Puppet opens in Ireland during the late sixties at a time of economic turmoil and weakening Church authority. Brilliant young curate, Declan O'Malley, is a rising star in the Church until he meets Isabel, wife of local magnate Charles de Vere. Rapidly he is swept up into a glittering life-style of money and power politics that rob him of all religious belief and moral strength. Disaster looms on the horizon.

About the Author

Kevin Toomey began his writing career following a skiing accident in the French Alps that almost cost him his life. This is his second novel. Brought up in England of Irish parents and educated by the Marist Fathers, he is a successful businessman but now follows a full time career as a writer living in Spain.
