About the Author

Juan Letona was born in Guatemala in 1942, and educated in both Guatemala and Pittsburgh, Penna USA. The grandson of a Guatemalan President, he has been married and divorced twice, and has two sons and a granddaughter, from his first marriage. He worked as a Crop Duster and Sprayer both in Guatemala and the USA for 25 years.ÊJuan graduated as a Commercial Pilot at Missisippi Aircraft Corporation in 1961. He has raced cars, Go-Karts and motorcycles for most of his life time. He has enjoyed living by the sea for most of his life, and he has owned a Caribbean Resort on the Atlantic Coast of Guatemala for over 10 years. He has enjoyed diving in the Florida Keys, farming on his inherited land. Due to squatters he abandoned over 26000 acres of his land, and placed it in the hands of the poorest people in his country. The experience narrated in this book is personal, and is inspired by his many years as a single man, during which he had numerous loving relationships with women. He believes in marriage, but has remained single for over 50 of his 61 years. Juan has travelled through the USA and Europe, and has lived in a third world country for extended periods of time. He loves to live alone and for the past four years has lived with his mother.

As hobbies he also enjoys hypnosis, psychology, painting and cooking, all of which have had a major role in shaping his life.
