Sue Olson Gee grew up on a farm near Milan, a small town in West Central Minnesota. She and her husband and son have lived in Colorado, Arizona and various cities in Minnesota. After their son graduated from college and moved to Northeast Wisconsin, Sue and her husband followed and have lived there for more than two years.
Along with working several years in the secretarial and travel field, Sue started wood crafting in her spare time. She enjoys designing and creating whimsical holiday decorations. About four years ago she made a Christmas tree ornament which she named Pennybottom Bear. The ornament sported a penny for a tail and she wrote a little story to accompany the ornament, explaining the bear's peculiar tail. Family and friends enjoyed the story and urged her to write and illustrate a children's story book about Pennybottom Bear. Pennybottom Bear and the Tale of his Tail was born.
Sue has written another book for middle readers that will be published in the near future.
