About the Book

Capricorn Saga (the first in the series) is the story of two young brothers living in Ireland in the middle of the 18th Century. Through circumstances beyond their control, Michael and his older Brother, Sean, are forced to leave their beloved Ireland. Believing the British Authorities are pursuing them, both brothers leave Ireland in separate ways to avoid capture and in doing so, their lives and destinies are forever changed.

In the course of his journeys Michael learns that Sean is still alive and his life-long quest to locate the only living member if his family begins.

The younger of the two brothers, Michael, is only twelve years of age when he leaves the family farm and eventually makes his way to Newport. In Newport he is introduced to, and joins, Captain Hobart of the merchant ship 'Grey Dolphin'. Michael soon learns the way of the sea and how to survive the rough and tumble of life aboard ship. He also develops strong and enduring friendships, which help to ease the pain of his past.

Michael finds romance. The romance between Michael and Mary is pure and wholesome; it epitomizes the strongest family ties and values.

Sean Kelly, Michael's brother, has joined the 'Wild Geese' and is forced to serve in the private army. The reader will travel through foreign countries and a number of battles, in which Sean demonstrates his daring skills, which quickly earns him promotion to an officer with distinction. Sean survives all adversity.

Capricorn Saga weaves its way through a descriptive journey of life, allowing the reader to discover the history, the harshness, and untouched beauty of the many countries Michael visits, including America, South Africa, Australia and Hong Kong. Through the excitement, turmoil and success of its diverse and sometimes unforgiving characters, the reader is set on a roller coaster ride through time.

About the Author

The authors, Kevin and Koyko presently reside in Cairns, Australia and have done so for the last 25 years with their two daughters, Mariko and Angelique. Kevin was born in Mount Isa, Queensland Australia. Koyoko was born in Saga, Japan.

This book has taken the authors many years to complete and the reason for starting to write the book was because the authors wished to share their enjoyment of writing with the rest of the world. The authors gained much from the experience of working together, creating characters and circumstances from within their own imaginations.
