About the Book

I have written these stories of my life over the years. Written at different times, in response to different episodes, they contain some overlapping material. My wife, Mary, and I have just edited and put them together in their present form for the benefit of our grandchildren and anyone else who might be interested. I am grateful to Mary for typing and offering her advice on many matters of form and content.

About the Author

Ayat started out as a university teacher in India and Pakistan, became a civil servant in Canada and worked with the Dominion Bureau of Statistics, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Employment and Immigration Canada. Now retired, he lives in Victoria, BC.
