About the Book

This workbook is for anyone ages 8-14 who has experienced the loss of a loved one. The book is written in order to reduce the fear of the survivor that the loved one will be forgotten. Responses to sentence stems foster an understanding of the grief process as the different emotions are expressed.

About the Author

Andrea Sims was a middle school counselor in the public school setting for 21 years where she facilitated many small counseling groups for students who had experienced the loss of a loved one. This workbook was developed for use in those small counseling groups, but it has also proven to be very beneficial for individual use.

As a school counselor, Andrea received both local and regional awards. She has conducted numerous workshops and taught a variety of classes. Andrea is a licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor and is currently working as a private counselor in group practice.

Andrea and her husband, Randall, recently celebrated their 30th. anniversary. They are parents of three daughters and currently have four grandchildren.
