About the Book

The trail of homicide victims and the shocking murder of a prominent professor at the University of California, Irvine, leave Orange County residents shaken. It is in this community known for its beautiful coastal cities that Stephanie Sandelin, an ER nurse at the university hospital, unknowingly crosses the path of a psychopathic killer. While at work, she attempts to save the lives of the killer's victims. As she does, she unwittingly finds photographs of the killer's next victim and her life unravels. Distracted by the problems in her love life, her mother's sudden illness, and a vengeful ex-boyfriend, she fails to see that the sadistic killer is about to disrupt her world.

Meanwhile, Blaine Weldon, a success-driven Santa Barbara deputy public defender, has his own agenda and is conducting an investigation that is about to uncover a secret that will change Stephanie's life forever. As the body count rises and events unfold, Stephanie finds herself embroiled in a maze of duplicity and betrayal.

About the Author

Judi Passy is a registered nurse who worked more than ten years in the emergency departments of hospitals in Orange County and Saudi Arabia. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a master's degree in counselling and is currently learning as a marriage and family therapist.
