About the Book

This is a book that everyone can relate to.

Know The Difference is a collection of poems about everyday life experiences. It expresses joy, frustration, anger, faith, the observations, of human behaviour and the contrasts of love and loss.

Go on a journey through the Lynette Swanson's mind as she explores her secret thoughts and dreams through beautifully crafted, honest, visually tender poetry. A constant theme for needing more out of life carries an occasional story of the experiences of travel and it's calming qualities. Through playful, experimental wordplay, the author bravely confronts her private social and emotional battles, realizing that they will always stand in the way of her happiness unless she has the courage to expose them. Know The Difference is Lynette Swanson's second poetry edition. Evidence of literary maturity, powerful intensity and the experienced ability to take the reader on a journey of the mind, proves Lynette's artistic progress and willingness to embrace change. Listen, enjoy, breathe.

About the Author

Lynette Swanson was born in 1979, in New South Wales, Australia and grew up in Queensland. At the age of twelve her father suddenly passed away and Lynette soon discovered the creative outlet of reading and writing poetry.

Her mother then relocated the family to Tasmania. For two years Lynette heavily immersed herself in painting and writing, educating herself at Brian Chandlers School of Art and Design and the Elizabeth College in Hobart. Then, at the age of fifteen, Lynette left home with her sister to move back to Queensland and attend university.

Incredibly, her work has mounted to over a thousand poems. Lynette has won various competitions and is published through the International Library of Poetry. She now lives in Melbourne, Australia.
