About the Book

The WareBox™ Book of Sudoku was written to help readers solve puzzles on a consistent basis. The appreciation of the WareBox™ Template, which is included in the book, will increase as the difficulty of the puzzles increases. This book was created to help the reader understand and effectively use the included template to solve puzzles. Beginner, intermediate and advanced solvers will appreciate the organization the template provides.

The WareBox™ strategy to solve Sudoku puzzles requires a paradigm shift in thinking. Most strategies to solve Sudoku puzzles use a form of writing possible correct number options into the individual cells of the puzzle. The WareBox™ strategy uses logical deduction to eliminate numbers that can not be correct. The number that remains after the effective use of logic, deductive reasoning and a series of eliminations is the correct solution; no guessing is used.

The WareBox™ Template was conceived as an effective way to store information concerning Sudoku puzzles. Each puzzle has a unique solution that can be solved using logic plus accurate and efficient record keeping. When the author taught mathematics he trained his students to use tables, grids and diagrams to store information for future reference. This information could be recalled later to create equations to solve word problems. The WareBox™ Template effectively holds information so the reader can identify the solving techniques required to solve puzzles.

About the Author

Robert L. Ware is a retired educator. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with degrees in Mathematics and Physical Education. He received his M.S. degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During his thirty years of service to the urban community of Racine, Wisconsin he has worked as a Directing Principal of a middle school of 1,000 students, sub school principal in a senior high school of 2,000 students, taught mathematics and computer mathematics at the high school level and mathematics and physical education at the junior high school level.
