About the Author

Kim Mikules was born in Wood River, Illinois. He has an extensive background in traditional and nontraditional education and is an avid outdoorsman, survivalist, hunter and fisherman.

He is a professional researcher and innovative educator and consultant specializing in the Humanities, Social and Natural Sciences.

In addition to earning several conventional college degrees in science, education and business, Mr. Mikules is a 1983 graduate of the North American School of Conservation (specializing in wildlife and forestry) and a 1985 graduate of the NRA and North American Association of Hunter Safety Coordinators Hunter Education Academy for volunteer instructors and was certified as a Master Hunter Education Instructor.

Kim Mikules is also a 1988 graduate of the FWL Outfitter and Guide School. Mr. Mikules' interest in wildlife biology and the natural world led him to the science of taxidermy early in 1973. Since 1975 he has been a practicing professional taxidermist with thousands of museum quality mounts & work to his credit.

Kim Mikules is the author of two other outdoor books; Professional Hunting Knowledge: A Home Study Course and Guaranteed Mule Deer: The Secrets and Strategy.

His love for outdoor related activities and the natural world inspired the creation of a Master Outdoorsman Specialty Training (MOST) educational series. The various programs offered include individual or group instruction featuring training in firearms, hunting, fishing, camping, survival, trapping & snaring, prospecting, or a complete course in professional taxidermy.

Mr. Mikules is a United States Army Veteran with extensive schooled, technical and specialty training and developed skills in mechanics, electronics, physics, logistics and management... plus a whole lot more.

He is producer and host of several video and audio tapes, CDs and DVDs dealing with hunting, fishing, survival, taxidermy, earth science, religion and extraordinary phenomenon.
