About the Book

Sunset's childhood was that of an ordinary island girl, except for the abuse, the murder, amongst other things. What Sunset endures before she reaches her 16th birthday is unspeakable. She leaves her small island to seek out a better life and get a better education. Sunset soon realizes that these things in her past that just would not stay buried. She also had to learn that your past does have an incredible impact on your future, and sometimes you just can't let sleeping dogs lie. Sunset's "American Dream" turns into nightmares that even she herself could not have imagined. When it all catches up with her she is faced with a decision; live or die. In her very first book "Barbadian" author Felicia Lashley tackles the age-old "Out of the frying pan into the fire" scenario. Felicia tells a story that will bring out every emotion in her readers. She will have you laughing one minute and then reduce you to tears the next. Take this roller coaster ride of a read; you will not be able to put this book down.

About the Author

Felicia Lashley was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados in the West Indies. Reading has always been more than a hobby to her. She has always maintained that reading is like eating; it needs to be done daily.

She knew that one day she would write her own book. Mission accomplished. Felicia has already started on the second book in the "Sunset" series scheduled for release fall of 2007.

She currently resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the USA with her two greatest accomplishments, her children Kennedi and C.J.
